Extra-Curricular Classes

A variety of extra-curricular studies for the enrichment of the child’s world. Professional teachers within the Home or at the nearby local community center run these programs. Among the programs are Music, Dancing, Sports, Art classes, Drama, Computers etc. A notice should be made of the fact that some of our children show extraordinary skills that must be encouraged.
Project Cost: About $1,000 per child per year .

Hamifal Day

An annual event in which all of Hamifal children and employees gather up for a day of fun especially designed for Hamifal’s children. Along the first half of the day, all children are invited to enjoy a variety of sports activities, among them bathing and swimming. The other half of the day is dedicated to a show given by a popular volunteer singer and an announcement of the awards to children who have excelled in their studies over the year. “Hamifal Day” encourages the sense of belonging, not less important for a healthy emotional development of its children.
Project Cost: $32,000

Summer Camps

operate on the month of August of each year and are intended for children who do not have a family to return to during their summer vacation. The camps became an additional positive educational experience, encouraging the development of a healthy social personality.
Project Cost: A summer camp per child: $320.-.


Singing/Dancing Groups

operate at Children’s Homes. All groups have a professional director and are occasionally invited to perform at important social events of the local community. The improvement and development of their artistic skills opens new horizons for expression and enables them to improve their emotional self-esteem.
Project cost: Annual cost for singing/dancing group activity: $18,000
