Neve Yehuda-The Ness Ziona Children & Youth Home
“Neve Yehuda” Children & youth Village is one of “Hamifal”’s oldest. It was established in 1977 and is located at a lovely hidden spot. The quiet and green place gives a warm and domestic atmosphere.
This Home houses and educates 104 children aged 6-18 in 7 family-units. There are also two teen’s units and as after school day care center .
Our goal is to provide the children with a supportive ”home” atmosphere, to advance significantly their educational level through, rehabilitation, personal and cultural experience- all within a family- unit model. Through this model which enable an individual care we can help them improve their self-esteem, and abilities, to cope with educational, cultural gaps and to give them the best tools necessary for a young person to succeed in Israeli society.
Our Home absorbs many immigrant youth from Ethiopia, the Former Soviet Union and lately 12 new immigrants from Latin America.
The Home has excellent relations with the community and many local families host our homeless children for Shabbatt and holidays.
“A Board of Friends”, composed of residents of Ness-Ziona, has volunteered and assists the Home.
The needs of the Home are many:
Renovation of the southern building.(3 family units) $ 170,000 Each
Building a new auditorium & educational –theraputic center $ 1,000,000
Renewal of furniture and equipment $ 120,000

A graduate’s letter
“Three years ago I came to the “Neve Yehuda” Home. As I walked in, to meet my group, I immediately got a good impression. I can’t imagine where have I had been today without the education, support and confidence given me by the staff and the children as well. I was a very violent, rebellious and sad boy and I hadn’t many friends. Looking back I can see three years of good experiences. Today, many thoughts come to my mind such as: Where will I be next year, what kind of friends will I have, in which boarding-school will I live and who will be my new “Parents”. I think that such thoughts come to each graduate’s mind. I am sure I’ll deeply miss my group friends, as we grew up together and they are like my family. I’ll never forget them and I’ll never forget my “Parents” who love and care for me like real parents. I wish my group success in the future and the “Madrichim” good luck in educating and taking care of the next group, just as they succeeded with me.” A.I
