All new children are required to have a medical checkup shortly before they arrive at Hamifal’s frameworks. For many, it’s the first check-up they've had in years; for some, it’s the first one they’ve ever had.
Our kids receive the care they need, whether it’s medical, psychological, psychiatric, optometric, dental, or other special services. The kids are also given important information regarding hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and other issues related to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Dental Insurance - In order to meet the dental hygiene needs of our children who suffer from severe dental problems and due to a major neglect over the years and lack awareness, Hamifal provides its children with a dental insurance which enables them to receive preventive dental care and periodical care, as part of the general education for personal and environmental hygiene.
Project cost: Complete insurance Policy for one child, per year: $70.-
Orthodontic Care - Many children absorbed by Hamifal suffer from severe orthodontic problems. The treatments are expensive and are not covered by governmental health Insurance programs. As a result, only part of our children get treatment, due to lack of budget.
Project cost: $2,135 per child
Medicinal treatment for children diagnosed with ADHD
Many children in Hamifal’s frameworks suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder - a chronic health condition requiring medication. Medical therapy helps in treating ADHD main symptoms and very effective in improving our children’s daily functionality.
Most children diagnosed with ADHD are treated with Ritalin and Concerta
