Givat Ada Children's Home

The Givat Ada –State Religious Children’s Home.

The Givat Ada children’s Home was established in 1984. The quiet, country-side location creates a peaceful life within the Home which, houses and educates 84 children aged 4-17, in 5 family-units and two teen’s units.

Our aims are to provide children in distress from a disadvantaged background a constructive, educational, personal and cultural experience by giving them special treatment in a supportive home atmosphere. We believe that this educational system, based on the family-unit model, contributes in narrowing the child’s educational gaps, as well as enhancing his self-esteem and healthy development, thus, we relate to each child individually and try to meet each child’s needs.

The traditional, religious character of the Home is expressed in day-to-day life, in practicing Shabbath, Jewish holidays and Bar Mitzva ceremonies.

The acting “parents “ have a Zionist religious background and a wide academic education with an emphasis on Jewish traditions.

Our Home maintains close contact with our graduates.

One of our educational approach is to integrate the children in cultural and sports activities of the community. This approach has been achieved through the participation of our children in activities that take place in the community center, in the local synagogue, throughout their integration with the schools nearby and in other community events

The needs of the Home are many and include constructing and building projects, as well as educational and therapeutic programs that need to be financed by our worldwide supporters.

Major construction of the Family Units                            $ 800,000 (based upon matching)
Renewal of furniture and equipment                                $ 100,000
Building a Therapeutic Center for Parents and children     $ 500,000

We hope you will become our partner in creating a better future for our children
